Steampunk Doll Giveaway!

   Yes, they are back! The popular Steampunk snails (and slugs!) OOAK series by us here at Envydolls are now available again via our STEAMPUNK SNAILS PATREON. Supporting us as a Patron and take part in monthly raffle style giveaways for these crazy little critters! Pledge $1 or up to $20 for a chance to win, but the higher your pledge the more times your name will be entered into the hat to be drawn out.

   After the month's pledges are collected, a winner will be chosen raffle style to receive a sculpt! This is one way to support us and potentially win our work without the frustration of losing out to other buyers in an auction, or having to spend a lot upfront. :)

Alice in Wonderland Caterpillar sculpt

   Hi again! Here's one of our custom sculpture of the Caterpillar inspired by Alice in Wonderland, in mixed media. This is our "gothic" design, with a brightly-colored caterpillar and Fly Agaric mushrooms. This sculpt is almost 12" tall including the base!

   We offer customized statues on the Alice Caterpillar theme at our Etsy store, or you can contact us directly to discuss a private commission!

Piranha Plants

   In addition to the Giant Piranha Plant commissioned from us, we also make smaller versions - in any colors! Here's a few examples of the Frost Piranha sculpture, Inky Piranha sculpture, and Red Piranha plant sculpture we make.

Magatamas 勾玉

   Two personal works with large unique shinto Japanese magatama centrepieces! This one is made from solid Gibeon meteorite with a great Widmanstätten pattern:

      The next is a gold rutile magatama (rutilated quartz magatama ルチル勾玉) A highly prized stone for good luck amulets, thought to bring good fortune in money, as well as an ability to concentrate and sharpen one's thoughts. Also known as "Angel Hair", gold rutile stones are valued higher with increasing clarity of the surrounding quartz, as well as the number and quality of rutile crystals running though them.

   The cords are double leather thong with sterling silver clasps and rings. Thanks for looking!

Labyrinth worm

   We're very pleased to announce the Labyrinth worm! Currently available for auction on eBay but also on commission if you wish to commission us for a private sale. Ain't he cute?

   We've had a lot of interest in the worm so I'm really glad to finally be able to show something to everyone who has been interested in our Labyrinth works!

Snowglobe size comparison

   Here's a visual size comparison of the regular and (LARGER) versions of our snowglobe designs - regular has a 68mm diameter glass dome and makes a nice compact little ornament to hold in the hand or place on the desk. LARGER designs are robust 100mm diameter snowglobes big enough to house an especially intricate diorama. LARGER snowglobes would make a great gift for that special someone. 

    Both are hand-made by one artisan in our studio, from the tiny dioramas inside to the painted and varnished solid wooden base. You can order one from our store at the My Store link in the sidebar. We can also consider custom snowglobes! Please contact us for details about custom snowglobes.

Update!

   To all our wonderful customers currently waiting on orders from Envydolls! We had a setback halfway through Feb where I injured myself in the studio. Nothing too serious thankfully - I don't have to stop working to heal so your orders are still being finished up and packaged, we're just a couple of weeks behind schedule due to the fact it's been a slower going working around the injury so I don't exacerbate it. I'm doing all packaging up and dispatching myself temporarily too, so that also is a little behind schedule, and it takes a fair amount of time to prepare delicate items for shipping individually.

   In short, please don't be concerned if your order is a little late - I'm working as quickly as possible to get everyone their orders dispatched from January and February, and catch up to speed. :)

Resident Evil Zombie Dog

   As sculptors we like to try all kinds of projects - from fantasy and the fantastical to horror and the macabre! This was an incredibly fun (and grotesque!) project inspired by the classic Resident Evil games franchise - the zombie police dog (Doberman pinscher). He comes with a concrete-effect base to mirror the surroundings where the player encounters zombie dogs in the Raccoon City Police Department. As a long-time fan of Resident Evil, Hiro sculpted this wonderfully disgusting zombie dog bust with removable zombie hand. Click on the image below to see a super-sized version.

   It's been some time since we listed items for sale in our Etsy shop, mostly because we were busy running auctions and Storenvy, and our blog, and neglected to update our Etsy shop as often.
